My skin was angry…

My skin and lips are angry. It is so dry, dull, flaky and all around dull. My water intake has been horrible, the change in the cooler temps, heat being on, being away for a night, water that was very drying and some icky sleep. It happens to the best of us. I also was testing out a product for Merc that I’ve determined wasn’t moisturizing enough for me.

Last night I did a dermaplaning session to remove the surface layer of dry skin. I love dermaplaning and do it at least once a week. It’s a very inexpensive way to refresh your skin. This is just a bit of the dry skin the I removed. Gross, but yet totally amazing all in one.

I followed the dermaplaning with a drop of Leahlani’s Ambrosia Elixir to my skin to give it a bit of moisture. I followed that with Leahlani’s Mermaid Mask which I love for a gentle soothing exfoliation. My lips were so dry and cracked, a clear sign of dehydration for me. I used Mizzi’s Whipped Lip Scrub. I gently massaged it for a bit, let it sit and then washed my face off.

I spritzed with Aphrodite Rose Water Mist before moisturizing. I knew I needed a heavy hitter moisturizer so I combined Lilfox Cupu Cool and Lilfox Blue Legume. Blue Legume is technically a mask, but I’ve found it’s a great overnight moisturizer. I added the Cupu cool to make even more of a healing, restoring salve which will repair my dull and dry skin. One of my favorite things about the Lilfox products is the ability to play chemist and create the blend that I need for that moment time. I finished off with some Gelsomino Lip Balm.
